Today we had a special visitor come to our classroom. Olivia's new spoodle pup called Gypsy came for morning talk. She was very cute and cuddly. She is only 8 weeks old.

It's Socktober and Nuno and Jacqueline have made some sock puppets for the school competition.

Thursday is swimming day!

Lizzie said, " The water was freezing today. We had to swim the whole length. When we hopped out we had to do it all over again. I liked doing froggy with the kickboard."

Declan said, "The best part about swimming is when I am a rocket. It helps me to dive properly. I also like using big arms."

Fantastic News!

Over the last week, we have raised some money for the children in Mission Lands! We laid the coins on our Prayer Table and we nearly filled the whole top. Today we counted the money and there was $43.25. Thank you Year 2H. You will help some children in our world to have a better life.

Today we read a beautiful story about a little bear called 'Corduroy'. He was on the shelf in a Toy Shop and nobody wanted to buy him. A little girl saw him and wanted him. She emptied out her piggy bank and went back to the shop to purchase him. She became his friend and she gave him a home!

Isabella says,
"On the weekend, my Grandma and I decided to make some craft and sell it to my mum and my dad. I also found some other things in my craft box that I could sell. I sold them and I made $2:50 for the people in Samoa."

Thank you to our very last Prayer group. Corey, Jai, Declan , Reid and Charles led us in prayer on Friday morning. Their sacred space looked really good with special things like thunder eggs and candles. Thank you boys!

Wednesday's prayer was organised by Lilly, Lizzie, Dakota, Sophie and Jacqueline. Their sacred space looked just great with beautiful flowers from Lizzie's garden. They also had lots of candles.

This is our first group for prayer this week. Sarah, Ana, Lucy, April, Olivia and Bella have worked really hard getting everything ready. They chose some special prayers and one of their favourite songs. Well done girls!

Our Excursion for Term 4

Our excursion for Term 4 is to the Railway Museum at Ipswich. We will be going on Wednesday 11th November. The cost will be $28:00. This includes a workshop tour, a visit to the interactive museum and a workshop where the children will make a wooden train with real tools. They will bring home their toy. Should be fun!!

Congratulations to April, Reid and Sophie for earning a certificate this week. Great work in storywriting! Some are starting to write well with adjectives and conjunctions evident in their work!

It's only Thursday and our Prayer Table is filling up quickly with coins! Thank you for sending your spare coins along to help those in need.

Today we started collecting money for our friends in Samoa, Indonesia and the Philippines. Life is pretty tough for them at the moment. Over the next couple of days, we hope to fill our Prayer table with coins.
